Dr Alexander Bryson
MBBS, BMedSci, PhD, FRACP

Dr Bryson is a neurologist and epilepsy specialist, an NMHRC Emerging Leadership Fellow, and a group head within The Florey’s Epilepsy and Neurodevelopment Research Priority. He has research interests in the mechanisms of epileptogenesis and antiseizure treatments, and his previous work has combined multi-scale modelling, optical imaging and in vitro electrophysiology to explore the mechanisms of genetic forms of epilepsy.

Dr Bryson’s current research uses optical imaging, in vitro electrophysiology and in vivo models to investigate microcircuit dysfunction in epilepsy.
