Mr Martin Adams

Mr Martin Adams joined The Florey Board in October 2021 and took on the roles of Deputy Chair and Chair of the Future Florey Subcommittee. He was appointed the Chair of The Florey Board on 2 August 2022.

Mr Adams is a technology entrepreneur, investor and company director.

He co-founded Lochard in 1990 and as CEO grew it to become a global leader in environmental monitoring solutions, with systems deployed in over 40 countries with a specific focus on the aviation and resources industries. Mr Adams has founded several other companies and invests in early-stage technology companies.

He has held numerous directorships in private, public and not-for-profit organisations, including Chairman of the Australian American Leadership Dialogue, Chairman of the University of Melbourne’s MAP Advisory board, Director of Oakton Ltd and co-founder and Director of Skalata Ventures.

Mr Adams holds an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Melbourne and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
