Giving to support the future of brain and mind research
Every day, medical researchers at The Florey are finding answers to help the 1 in 5 Australians affected by neurological and mental health conditions.
You can support our life-changing research by making a donation or leaving a bequest.
How you can give to The Florey
There are many ways to support The Florey and your gift no matter how much, goes towards developing new treatments, advancing our understanding of the brain, improving healthcare and finding new ways to assist our communities.
Florey Future Fund
As an endowment fund, the Florey Future Fund provides a perpetual stream of income to support scientific research. By pledging a donation or leaving a gift in their Will donors will have a significant impact on scientific research for generations to come.
Donate a major gift
A major gift of $10,000 or more can help the Institute fund research initiatives and equipment that are urgently needed. Some of our most innovative research programs and cutting-edge technology is funded through generous donations.
Include a gift in your Will
Including a gift in your Will provides a legacy of hope, ensuring a lasting contribution towards a better future. The decision to leave a bequest is a meaningful way to support medical research, helping to improve quality of life through brain research.
Give in honour
Giving in honour of someone is a unique way to celebrate their legacy. Honour a life, or celebrate an important milestone, by donating to The Florey in lieu of traditional gifts. There are many ways to give in honour, with The Florey able to provide donation envelopes for an event, or you can simply choose to make a donation online.
Fundraise for The Florey
Thanks to the support of generous donors in our community, The Florey can continue our important medical research into a range of neurological and psychiatric conditions. Our supporters have raised funds through sporting events, trivia nights, parties and other special occasions.
Shane Warne Legacy Fund
The Florey was honoured that the impact of our research has been recognised by cricketer Shane Warne’s family following their request that people consider donating to The Florey in his memory.
Professor Derek Denton AC Memorial Fund
Professor Derek Ashworth Denton AC, The Florey’s founding director, was one of the most eminent Australian scientists of his time. We are enormously proud and honoured to continue his legacy through the work of The Florey to this day. Donate to support the legacy of a leader in medical research.
Your gift at work
Gifts from our community empower Florey scientists to find cures and better ways to tackle complex brain conditions. Generous donations help us retain and attract the best researchers globally, and provide the best facilities for their world-class research.
