BioAnalytics Australia
About us

BioAnalytics Australia is a NATA accredited laboratory providing a service to academic and industry partners seeking protein and elemental quantification in biological samples.
Projects are managed in accordance with the Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) principles interpreted for research. Non-NATA accredited services are also available.
Quanterix HD-X protein quantification
- Fully automated HD-X analyser uses single molecule array (Simoa) technology for up to 1000 times greater sensitivity than traditional immunoassays.
- Protein quantification in plasma, serum and cerebrospinal fluid.
- Four log dynamic range, detecting proteins at fg/ml concentrations.
- Highly reproducible, with inter-assay coefficient of variation typically less than 10%.
- Cost-effective, allowing for multiplexing of up to four proteins in a single assay.
- NATA accredited and non-NATA accredited Simoa protein quantification services are available.

Quanterix HD-X assays
Quanterix offer a large range of Simoa assays for a variety of biological processes and diseases. Please visit the Quanterix website for a full list of available assays. Custom Simoa assays can also be developed for additional proteins of interest.

ELISA protein quantification
BioAnalytics Australia offers ISO-17025 accredited enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) assays for quantifying a range of proteins in biological samples.
BioAnalytics Australia can also validate other commercially available ELISA kits to extend the range of quantifiable protein biomarkers.
NATA accredited and non-NATA accredited ELISA protein quantification services are available.

Elemental analysis
With our Agilent 7700x and 8800-QQQ inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) instruments, we can perform highly precise and sensitive trace elemental analysis.
We offer:
- Routine elemental analysis: using the ICP-MS systems, we offer precise quantification of trace elements (in the ppt to ppb range) across various sample types, with a primary focus on biological samples.
- 8800 ICP-MS comes equipped with additional triple quad configuration (QQQ), which allows MS/MS analysis. When configured with an additional gas mode (O2), this can enhance interference removal and give rise to higher selectivity for complex samples.
- Method development and validation: our team provides expertise in developing customised analytical methods tailored to specific research needs.
- Non-NATA accredited elemental analysis services are also available.
