Katherine Drummond is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Melbourne with A/Prof Jee Hyun Kim (Developmental Psychobiology Lab, Florey Institute), Prof Geoffrey Faulkner (Mater Research & Queensland Brain Institute) and A/Prof Marnie Blewitt (Walter Eliza Hall Institute).
Her research focuses on the relationship between early life experience, fear extinction behaviour and genomic changes. Her main objective is to further understand why adverse experiences during development may lead certain individuals to develop fear- and anxiety- related disorders and why they may be more resistant to treatment.
