Biography
Dr Thanuja Dharmadasa is a clinician-researcher at The Florey as well as a neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. She has a passion for improving care for people living with motor neurone disease (MND).
After completing her PhD in MND at the University of Sydney, she undertook advanced clinical research training at the University of Oxford as an NHMRC Early Career Fellow.
Thanuja combines cutting-edge brain imaging and diagnostic tools to better understand how MND develops—and how we can treat it more effectively.
She is currently launching a specialist multidisciplinary MND clinical research centre in Melbourne which integrates best clinical practice, innovative research and access to emerging therapies.
