Dr Samaneh Mirzaei
PhD

Samaneh has a bachelor and masters degree in biomedical engineering, with a specific focus on biomaterials and tissue engineering. She completed her PhD at Monash University, where she dedicated her research to exploring neural tissue engineering approaches for potential treatments in Parkinson’s disease.

She joined the NeuFlam Lab in August 2023, with a primary research interest into the link between the glymphatic system and neuroinflammation across ALS-FTD disease spectrum. This project was supported by the NHMRC-AMED Dementia Collaborative Scheme.
