Dr Liang Jin

Biography
Dr Jin is a Research Fellow and a project manager at The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health and holds an adjunct Research Fellow position at Monash University. Since the completion of his PhD at Monash University in 2013, Jin has been working on peptide-loaded drug delivery systems for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases supported by multiple national and international funding organizations including NHMRC, Alzheimer’s Association (US) and NIH.
In 2018, Dr Jin was awarded the prestigious Alzheimer’s Association Research Fellowship (US) to target the neuroinflammation through the blockade of microglial potassium channel for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease (AD).
Dr Jin currently serves as Scientific Advisor of Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Academic Editor, and Dr Jin is a current member of AIBL (The Australian Imaging, Biomarker & Lifestyle Study of Ageing) Management Steering Committee, which is a longitudinal cohort study focused on investigating the natural history of AD starting in 2006
