Biography

Dr Alita Soch completed his Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Pharmaceutical Sciences), Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) and PhD (Laboratory and Clinical Science) at RMIT University.

In his PhD, his research focus was on developmental neuroscience and neuroinflammation where he invested the role of microglia during early life development.

In 2021 he joined The Florey as a Microscopy Facility Officer. In this role, he provides assistance and education to the researchers and students of The Florey that use the Microscopy Facility for their imaging. He is interested in all aspects of light microscopy, including widefield and confocal imaging, imaging techniques and image analysis.
