Neuroanatomical correlates of depression and anxiety in newly diagnosed focal epilepsy

Neuroanatomical correlates of depression and anxiety will be assessed by measuring cortical thickness and subcortical volume estimates using quantitative image analysis techniques.

This study will map the relationship between neuroanatomical changes in epilepsy and these two common epilepsy comorbidities. The project will be well suited to students with an interest in brain imaging and clinical neuroscience.

Aim

  • Map the relationship between neuroanatomical changes in epilepsy and depression and anxiety.
