Biography
Dr Emily Ramage is clinician researcher who completed her PhD in December 2022. She combines over 15 years’ experience as a physiotherapist with a passion for optimising stroke recovery through targeted research.
Dr Ramage is recognised as a Future Leader by the World Stroke Organisation and an Emerging Leader by the International Stroke Recovery and Rehabilitation Alliance. She has received over $2.5 million dollars in competitive funding as a chief investigator.
Dr Ramage is a trainee member of the International Knowledge Utilization Research Network and recognises the importance of involving research end-users such as people with lived experience and clinicians her expertise in collaborative research to maximise it relevance and usability.
Dr Ramage’s current research focuses on understanding how different phenotypes in young adult stroke are associated with recovery trajectories, early rehabilitation after intracerebral haemorrhage and how to facilitate representation of ethnically diverse and women in research.
