Biography
Dr Azadeh Feizpour is a Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Molecular Imaging and Therapy, Austin Health. She earned her PhD in Neuroscience from Monash University in 2018.
Currently, her primary focus is on validating newly developed blood biomarkers for Alzheimer’s disease (AD) against established neuroimaging gold standards for AD diagnosis, namely amyloid-beta (Aβ) and tau positron emission tomography (PET), by leveraging data from the Australian Dementia Network (ADNeT) and the Australian Imaging, Biomarkers, and Lifestyle (AIBL) studies.
Dr Feizpour’s research interests span Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases, neuroimaging, and blood biomarkers. Her passion lies in working with clinical experts to implement novel diagnostic techniques in real-world clinical settings.
