Work experience

The Florey is committed to encouraging the next generation of neuroscience researchers. We offer a very small number of placements for secondary school work experience to students in years 10–12. Work experience with us is a great way to observe researchers directly in a laboratory or in a clinical setting, over a range of locations and fields. Work Experience Program (WEP) students can expect to:

  • develop employability skills
  • explore possible career options
  • understand employer expectations
  • increase their self-understanding, maturity, independence and self-confidence.

Please contact the Student Support team for queries. It’s helpful if you have a CV and/or list any particular areas of interest.
