Mr Tom Vale

Tom has worked as an animal technician in the research industry for over 23 years, the last 10 as an operating theatre manager and anaesthetist, and enjoys contributing to research that can translate into positive outcomes for patients.

He has been involved with all projects across the Florey’s Systems Neuroscience Theme, including renal replacement therapy, heart failure, cardiopulmonary bypass, and sepsis, and also with commercial clients and their various needs.

Tom provides an integral service to the various groups using the large animal operating theatres and is instrumental in ensuring projects run to time and adhere to ethical guidelines.
