Biography
Dr Bryson is a neurologist and epilepsy specialist, and a Senior Research Fellow within the Ion Channels and Human Diseases group. He has research interests in the mechanisms of epilepsy and antiseizure treatments, and his previous work has combined multi-scale modelling and in vitro electrophysiology to explore the mechanisms of genetic forms of epilepsy.
Dr Bryson is currently undertaking postdoctoral work at Columbia University and his research uses optical imaging and in vivo models to characterise microcircuit dysfunction in epilepsy. Dr Bryson is also a CI on an MRFF grant investigating novel therapies for Functional Neurological Disorder.
