This highly prestigious award, named in honour of eminent neuroscientist and former director of The Florey Fred Mendelsohn, recognises the achievements of outstanding doctoral students at the University of Melbourne undertaking preclinical or clinical neuroscience research. Award recipients receive a cash prize and deliver a lecture at an awards presentation.

Participation in MNPP is free for all graduate researchers undertaking doctoral research in a neuroscience-related field across any department or faculty at the University of Melbourne, but registration to be a member is essential.

Members of MNPP are also invited to attend The Florey’s weekly Neuroscience Seminar Series held at the Kenneth Myer Building in Parkville and streamed online.
