Oriana is a Speech Pathologist by background. After completing her MSc in Speech and Language Sciences in the UK, she went on to work clinically in large teaching hospitals across London. She has experience of delivering Speech and Language assessment and therapy across a variety of settings such as ICU, cardiac, respiratory, neurology and neurosurgery wards. Her particular interests lie in delivering holistic acute care and rehabilitation in Hyper-acute and Acute Stroke Units, as well as neuro-rehabilitation centres.
Oriana previously worked as a Transcriber and Data Monitor for the Australia-wide VERSE (Very Early Rehabilitation in SpeEch) Trial for Aphasia after Stroke.
She is currently working as a Research Assistant for AVERT DOSE, which is a large international trial aiming to determine the optimal dose of mobility training that would most benefit patients in the acute phase post stroke.
