Dr Sharon Kramer

Sharon is an postdoctoral researcher at the Florey Department of Neuroscience and Mental Health, University of Melbourne. She is also a student manager at the AVERTearly rehabilitation research group. She recently finished her PhD on cardiovascular fitness training early post-stroke.

After finishing her Master’s degree in 2008 she has worked at the Dutch and Australasian Cochrane Centre. She is a physiotherapist trained in the Netherlands and has clinical experience in stroke rehabilitation. 

Her research focusses on cardiorespiratory exercise, dose intensity of training, exercise and brain recovery and exercise induced biological changes that underpins stroke recovery.
