Delivery and adaptation of cognitive assessments via Telehealth

Neuropsychology has been slow to adopt Telehealth for the delivery of neuropsychological assessments. The arrival of COVID 19 has led to a rapid uptake of videoconference and online delivered assessments. In this project we are administering a range of cognitive and psychological assessment tools across a range of epilepsy cohorts, and developing new tools that exploit the assessment opportunities offered by a computer supported medium.

Aims

To evaluate the sensitivity of Telehealth administered neuropsychological measures in an epilepsy population.

To develop new tools for use in Telehealth delivered neuropsychological assessments.

In this project we are using existing neuropsychological measures adapted for use via Telehealth (telephone and videoconference), and also developing new tools for administration via Telehealth. Data will be collected from individuals with epilepsy and also from healthy controls.
