Dr Megan Oliva is interested in the functional consequences of genetic mutations in neurological disease. As a member of the Ion Channels and Diseases laboratory at The Florey she uses calcium imaging in patient-derived brain organoids to look at the functional impact of ion channel mutations in epilepsy.
